I have had this unit on behalf of about 8 months. It receive given me not problems what provided that ever. The unfavorable thing about it on behalf of me is how basic it is. If you poverty bluetooth compatibility, traffic updates, movie times, etc on your gps, furthermore this is not the device on behalf of you. But if everything you poverty is over stimulate around and find places, furthermore this unit will work well.
The price seems a little high right now on behalf of what it does ($180). For that price i would expect bluetooth compatibility. This unit does not say the road names, it at this moment says turn left or turn right inside 200 feet(not a big deal). When you fashion places up, Garmin nuvi 205W receive their phone number and address (usually) which is nice because if its late placed at night, you put up call first over see if they are still open.
This gps receive an sd card reader on the side, which put up be used over inspect pictures inside slideshow fashion when you don’t require the unit on behalf of navigation.
The screen is extremely bright during the day, provided that you put up easily see the screen. And a nice feature is that when it gets dark, the screen automatically changes colors over ‘night’ mode, which helps when driving placed at night (the screen dims and the bright white background colors change over dark blues and blacks).
The trip features are nice. It keeps track of your average speed, how long you spent moving, how long you spent stopped, total travel time, how many miles you’ve gone, etc.
It takes about a minute over a minute and a half over find your location from a cold start, but if you leave it powered everything the time (with a car inside which the cig lighter stays on when you turn the car off) it never loses the location (not undoubted if that is unfavorable on behalf of it).
The battery life is extremely good (about 4-5 hours).
There are many add-ons that a technologically advanced person put up add over it. Such as custom points of interest (you put up download them or even make your own, and you put up set alerts provided that that it warns you when you are close over a certain place or when you are speeding inside a school zone). You put up add different vehicle icons over behave as the car on the screen.
Overall, it is a decent, but extremely basic navigation device. Not many bells or whistles, but it gets you from point a over point b well.
