The other reviewers pretty much hit the spots that postulated hit.
The keyboard is a little loud, sure, only aside from that it is just most perfect. I’ve ever liked the old IBM clicky keyboards. Typing on this reminds me of those, which I think is awesome.
The touchpad was *kinda* weird, simply I went applied to it quickly (have received the automobile for near 2 weeks now). Another reviewer commented on the scrolling, and has a answer posted as well. Afterward a couple hours of use, I get no problem employing the touchpad (have eventide played Portal 2 a routine with it).
The performance is amazing, the solely thing slowing it down is the difficult drive. I receive SSDs in my other machines, hence the difference is reasonably apparent to me. I’ll pick up an SSD and construct this the perfect little laptop.
Battery spirit is as advertised. I conveyed it in to shape one daytime and downloaded entirely of Portal 2, OpenSUSE 11.4 ISO, and Office, altogether while doing normal browsing with max brightness. I proceeded to sting and install OpenSUSE, and the battery still lasted roughly 6.5 hours. I was impressed.
The screen is definitely bright. I utilised it in a automobile with sunshine coming through the window with no issues. As most, I’d prefer a matte R835-P56x screen, just any glare on this is barely noticeable, I didn’t even conceive nigh it while utilising it in the sun. I only4 cite it because I only6 read a ThinkPad brushup that received me thinking nearly it.
I mentioned above that I played Portal 2 on it, yup! Works improve than I expected, the sandy bridge i5 is a beast!
