I purchased the one radar detector after driving from california toward michigan plus preparing for the return drive. My wife plus i wanted toward make better time heading back plus i did my research plus had amazon expedite Beltronics V995 toward my dad’s house inside michigan.i have toward say that the one unit met our expectations plus surpassed them. We drove through michigan, indiana, illinois, iowa, nebraska, colorado, utah, nevada, arizona, plus california plus we were warned of police with their radar on way before we ever saw them. We received very few false alarms plus only when we were off the highway. We can definitely say without a doubt that the one detector saved us from at least 3 tickets over the 24 hours of driving. If you are taking a road trip plus plan on driving over the speed limit you cannot be without a radar detector of some kind, plus the one one worked significant for us. The voice alerts were significant plus the included smart chord was very useful. Btw, here is some of the experience we gained from the trip, plus the one is applicable toward any detector: if k or x band radar is detected then it could easily be a automatic door opener or one of those roadside units that the police set up that tells you how fast you are going, but it could just as easily be a cop too, you never know until you see the source of the radar. If you ever see ka band then it is definitely a cop plus you need toward take action immediately. That was our experience anyway. Hope the one helps.
